卢伟民（Ray Barros）是一名职业交易员、基金经理、作家和教育家。在1990年，他开始运作一只市值2000万澳元的基金，直至2010年12月该基金关闭之时，它当时的市值已成长至9.43亿澳元，为他个人的历史最好纪录，坐拥137％的投资回报率。

卢伟民著有两本投资类畅销书籍《趋势本质》(The Nature of Trends)及《卢伟民波浪理论》（The Ray Wave）。他经常受邀在各国的主流财经媒体如悉尼先驱晨报、Your Trading Edge 杂志、新加坡海峡时报、新加坡商业时报和《英明智富》杂志等发表投资相关文章。同时，他还经常受邀进行各电视媒体如BBC亚洲、CNBC、彭博、亚洲新闻频道及众印度电视台如18频道（CNBC的印度分社）、UtV-彭博等的采访。采访内容横盖其具体交易策略、市场分析、历史交易纪录、交易思想、如何/为何投身交易、他对有意成为交易员/投资者的箴言建议等等。同时，卢伟民经常受邀在悉尼、新加坡、孟买、上海、伦敦、东京、台湾等地进行投资演讲。

从2013年5月开始，卢伟民开始转向外汇、黄金、30年期国债及原油期货的交易中去。在不久的将来，他计划重投股指期货交易。

作为一名曾经的资深大律师，卢伟民在上世纪80年代放弃了他中规中矩的职业生涯，转向他人生的第一志向--成为一名全职交易员。在最开始的时候，由于缺乏经验及风险管理意识，他的交易损失惨重。在经历了数不清的交易挫折和碰过几乎所有初入市者均碰过的壁之后，他终于总结出一套适合自己的交易系统，开始扭亏为盈。经历过不同形态市场的验证之后，该系统被证实可为投资者带来持续稳定的收益，自此，卢伟民开始被各投资银行追捧，纷纷邀请其出手管理银行旗下资产。同时，愈来愈多的金融机构邀请他帮忙培训其机构交易员，教授相关投资策略及技巧。在上世纪90年代初，他成为一个外聘外汇交易员，为其满足个人兴趣爱好--成为一名投资者教育家--提供了职业灵活性。

Professional trader, fund manager, educator and author of “The Nature of Trends”

Ray Barros is a professional trader, fund manager, author, and educator. In 1990, he started with A$20 million and by the time the fund closed, December 2010 it had grown to A$943 million. The December 2010 result was the best in his trading history, securing a 137 per cent return.

Ray is also the author of two books – ‘The Nature of Trends’ and ‘The Ray Wave’. Ray has been regularly featured in regional newspapers and publications like Sydney Morning Herald, Your Trading Edge Magazine, Singapore Strait Times, Singapore Business Times, and Smart Investor. He has also been featured on BBC (Asia), CNBC, Bloomberg, Channel News Asia and a number of Indian TV stations e.g. Channel 18 (CNBC Indian Affiliate) and UtV-Bloomberg. The interviews have focused on his trading strategies as well as his opinions on market sentiment. They have also dealt with his track record, trading philosophy, how and why he got into trading, and what advice he would give to those wishing to become traders/investors. In addition, Ray has given public and in-house seminars in Sydney, Singapore, Bombay, Shanghai, London, Tokyo and Taiwan.

Ray, since May 2013, has been trading mainly the Forex markets, and Gold, 30-year bond and Crude Oil futures. Soon, he expects to again be trading the stock index futures.

A lawyer by profession and training, Ray gave up his lucrative law practice in the 1980s to focus on his first love - trading. His initial attempts at trading failed miserably and he suffered heavy losses. But, after making all the mistakes in a trader’s manual and then some, Ray finally hit on a trading approach that gives him the market edge. This approach has proven effective in both trending and congested markets, allowing him to trade profitably and consistently. Thereafter, he was highly sought after by major banks to manage their funds. At the same time, he was also very much sought after as a trainer to train other institutional traders based on the strategies and techniques he developed. In the early 1990s, he became an outsourced FX Trader and this gave him the flexibility to focus his next great passion - teaching.

In his over twenty years of trading, Ray has seen many traders - both beginners and seasoned traders - mistake luck for skills. From the outset, he felt that it was not necessary for them to make the same mistakes he had made; he felt also that he could help them trade profitably under all market conditions by equipping them with the right tools and thinking skills. Propelled by his desire to give something back to the society and by his love of teaching, Ray started giving public seminars to equip people with the correct tools and skills. What sets Ray apart from many others is his rich experience, his track record and his personal commitment to each and every one of his students. This commitment is further sealed by Ray’s belief that the positive effects he has had on his students in their pursuit of their goals will measure his success as a teacher.
